We are dedicated to the progress of women in the workplace and in our society, and Italian American women in particular. NOIAW’s aim is to embrace, prepare and provide our future generations of women with a well-built and fortified foundation for professional and personal accomplishments and successes. Below are our thriving programs that have been delivering guidance and confidence, over the years, to hundreds of young, Italian-American women.

Cultural Events

NOIAW achieves its mission by strengthening ties among members through Italian cultural programs locally, nationally, and internationally, and special events that inspire and promote the professional successes of women of Italian heritage. We also foster alliances with Italian and Italian American organizations in support of our history, culture, and language to extend our breadth and depth of initiatives and content. The following is a sampling of the type of monthly activities offered to our members.

Scholarship Program

Empowering Italian American Women Through Education: Apply Now for NOIAW’s 2024 Scholarship Program! Each year, NOIAW awards four to six scholarships, providing the opportunity for Italian American women to pursue their higher education dreams.

Mentoring

Cultural Exchange

NOIAW’s Cultural Exchange program hosts young, undergraduate Italian women in New York City while Italy hosts young, undergraduate Italian-American women in Rome on alternating years for immersive professional and educational experiences. We launched this program in 2007 to enhance relations between the United States and Italy, and thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, the cultural exchange program is offered at no cost to participants.
