NOIAW Connecticut Region in partnership with Barnard College Club of CT presents:
“Three Wise Women Tell It All: An Interactive Panel on the Status of Women in Connecticut,”
with Kate Farrar, Fran Pastore, and Patricia Russo!
Come hear from three rock stars whose daily lives revolve around empowering women in the world of entrepreneurship, public service, education and advocacy. Set your GPS for the future as we learn what gains have been made over the last year in women’s economic security and participation in the political process.
+Only thirty years ago, women could not obtain a bank loan without the signature of a male relative!
+Last year, women held less than 25% of the seats in state legislatures nationwide!
+On average, women in Connecticut lose a combined total of $5.5 billion due to the gender wage gap!
Where will women stand in 2019? What can you do to help bridge the gap in services, pay equity and equal representation?
Guest speakers are all past recipients of the NOIAW Wise Woman Award:
Moderated by: Pat Tinto, CT Region President and National Board Member of NOIAW;
former Chair of the Regional Networks for the Alumnae Association of Barnard College.
