Join us on a guided tour created especially for NOIAW of the Washington National Cathedral!
Tour guide Andy Bittner will lead us through the fascinating Italian history behind the exquisite stone carvings that adorn the cathedral’s exterior and interior walls. We will also hear stories about the Italian men who created these intricate designs. A special viewing of a carving of Pope John XXIII will also be included.
We will meet in the front of the cathedral at 10:15 AM. The tour will begin on the outside and make its way inside to the main level. An optional lovely Episcopal communion service will follow at noon, or guests can make their way to the gift shop.
Bring your friends and enjoy the history of the Italian men who made the cathedral what it is today!
