Sarah C. Capasso - ID PhotoSarah C. Capasso is a J.D. candidate at Brooklyn Law School. A descendent of a musical family with roots in Naples, Sarah continues the family tradition with her study of the violin, which she began at age seven.Her pride in her heritage and her ancestors manifested in claiming her Italian citizenship. Her family legacy began with her great-grandfather Giuseppe Ferraro, composer of “Neapolitan Rhapsody,” which was performed in a Pop Concert at Carnegie Hall in 1947. 111215_0106_Inserra-Unesco-X2Teresa Fiore is Associate Professor and Inserra Chair in Italian and Italian American Studies at Montclair State University in New Jersey. Besides teaching and conducting research, she coordinates a regular calendar of cultural programs focusing on the historical and contemporary role of Italian culture in the international scenario and in particular in the United States. The recipient of several fellowships (De Bosis at Harvard University, Rockefeller at Bellagio, and Fulbright), she has been Visiting Assistant Professor at Harvard University (2007), NYU (2008), Rutgers University (2009) and, since 2011, she has been affiliated with the Center for European and Mediterranean Studies at NYU. LauraLaForgia_FinalLaura LaForgia, CPA, MST, is a Partner at Marks Paneth LLP. She is a tax specialist who handles tax planning, tax compliance and other related financial matters. She assists busy executives with deferred compensation matters and tax filings and planning, guides divorced and widowed women through the tax filing process and assists them in getting their financial matters in order, and handles tax issues related to ultra-high net worth family wealth which includes individual, fiduciary,  private foundations, estate, and gift matters. head shotGabrielle Rockwell is a sophomore at Nazareth College of Rochester, where she is pursuing a double major in Italian and International Studies. She has studied abroad in Pescara, Italy and is fluent in Italian. She is a student representative for Italian studies for National Italian American Foundation. She also works as a tour guide leader and student mentor. Gabrielle proudly shares her Italian American heritage weekly in Nazareth College’s Casa Italiana.
