The National Organization of Italian American Women welcomes the following new members:
Paige Chirco is a Licensed Real Estate Salesperson at Douglas Elliman Real Estate. She has always had a passion for Residential Real Estate, growing up in a family involved in the industry. This experience molded her to be very knowledgable in every aspect of real estate. She brings an innovative and fresh approach to the business and enjoys helping buyers and sellers from the beginning of the transaction to the closing table. Click here to get in touch with her. Sondra Lintelmann-Dellaripa is President and Principal Consultant for Harvest Development Group, LLC. She is a new member of the Greater New York (Metro) region of NOIAW. With over 30 years of executive nonprofit experience, Sondra Dellaripa leads Harvest Development Group in its work with the nonprofit and government sector, in improving business operations for sustainable outcomes. In 2018, she received the Influencer of the Year Award by the International Association of Women and in 2016 her company was voted Top 100 under 100 Small Business. She is currently a Board Governor for the National Association of Nonprofit Organizations and Executives, a member of the International Association of Women, and a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. Mary L. DeRosa is the Executive Director of SHU Online, Sacred Heart University, Fairfield, Connecticut. Mary states, “My Italian background is Northern Italian in the Dolomites region. I have been active with the Filo magazine. This wonderful publication shares family stories, recipes and history from the Tyrolean region” (view it here). This issue on page 14 tells the story of Mary’s mother’s family (view that here). Mary is a new member in NOIAW’s Connecticut Region.
Deb L. Marciano, PhD is Professor of Education and Valdosta State University, in Valdosta, Georgia (USA). She is a new National member of NOIAW. “As an educator,” she states, “I have had the opportunity develop a professional and personal identity that is strongly connected to my Italian roots. I have conducted study abroad programs in Italy for US university students, visited Italy almost a dozen times, and have continued my study of Italian language and culture. I feel lucky to have grown up in a neighborhood and attended school predominantly comprised of Italian-Americans, who were proud of our shared heritage.” Visit her at her website.
J. Lynn Orenstein is an Italian American woman who grew up in Garden City, Long Island, New York. She is a new member in the Greater New York (Metro) region of NOIAW. She has worked on Wall Street since 1986. Currently she serves as the Director of the Equity Syndicate at Drexel Hamilton, a full-service brokerage firm founded on the principle of offering meaningful employment opportunities to disabled veterans desiring a career in financial services. She is also an Officer and Treasurer of the Drexel Hamilton Women’s Syndicate Association. She attended Sacred Heart Seminary and Academy in Hempstead, Long Island and a graduate of Molloy College. Linda Vallino-Napoli, PhD, CCC-SLP/A, ASHA Fellow, is the Head of the Craniofacial Outcomes Research Laboratory and Senior Scientist at Nemours/A.I. duPont Hospital for Children. She is a Clinical Professor of Pediatrics, Sydney Kimmel Medical College – Thomas Jefferson University, and an Adjunct Professor, Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders, at the University of Delaware. Linda states, “I grew up in Pittsburgh, PA and now live in Wilmington, Delaware with my husband, Dr. Joseph A. Napoli. Our four children range in age from 21 to 39 years. I received my PhD in speech-language pathology and my research is focused on patients who have been affected by cleft lip and palate and other craniofacial anomalies.” She is a new member in the Greater Washington, DC Region of NOIAW. Cristina (Gjomarkaj) Verger is the director of Cristina Verger Event Planning & Production, LLC. Cristina’s company is a full service event planning company with offices in NYC and
satellite offices in Rome, Milan, and Paris. Cristina’s company was selected for the award of BEST of Wedding & Event Planning USA, conferred by LUX Magazine in 2018. The company produces corporate events; weddings and social events; and destination weddings throughout the United States, the Caribbean, and Europe.
