From Bari to The Bronx: Living the American Dream Nov 2nd (GNY – W)

ABOUT THE EVENT

Join NOIAW’s Westchester Network on historic Arthur Avenue at Emilia’s Restaurant, a Zagat-rated and established Italian eatery, for a traditional Italian luncheon and book talk. This presentation will be led by Peter Servedio, author of From Bari to the Bronx: Living the American Dream, and owner of the famous Peter’s Meat Market, also on Arthur Avenue. Servedio will share his story of an American Dream fulfilled, beginning in Bari and flourishing in the Bronx, where Servedio is now known as one of the best Arthur Avenue butchers. He will also discuss the contents of his book which doubles as a memoir and cookbook, complete with recipes made famous at Peter’s Meat Market.
Attendee participation is highly encouraged during this traditional meal reminiscent of Sunday family gatherings.

This prix fixe lunch will include a house salad to start, four different entree choices, as well as coffee and dessert. There will also be a cash bar for those interested.

Books will be available for purchase.
