Discover the legacies and lives of Italy’s Renaissance women as well as those of several unheralded Italian women who inspired Botticelli, Raphael, and Michelangelo and some of the greatest artwork of all time. Celebrating Women’s History Month, this special program is for anyone in amore with Italy and its remarkable art treasures and cultural gifts.
Carla Gambescia, author of La Dolce Vita University: An Unconventional Guide to Italian Culture from A to Z, will be our guide as we learn the stories of women such as Artemisia Gentileschi and Isabella D’Este, whose lives and accomplishments can still inspire us today while lending fresh perspectives on some of the Renaissance’s most beloved paintings.
Join us for the presentation alone, or stay for dinner with the author! The book will be available for purchase.
