Call for Applicants: NIAF Italian American Museum Fellowship
Do you dream of a career in museum curation? Would you love to take a deep dive into the history of the Italian American experience — and shape how it is understood by others?
Then you may be interested in applying for a new opportunity offered by the National Italian American Foundation (NIAF.) The Italian American Museum Fellowship will give three undergraduate students the chance to design an exhibit focused on Italian American history that will be on display at NIAF’s fall gala.

NIAF is looking for three talented students to lead the curation of an Italian American exhibit, using the Foundation’s impressive collection of artifacts and historical materials.
The exhibit will be shown at the Foundation’s 41st Anniversary Gala Weekend, October 14-15, 2016, at the Marriott Wardman Park, in Washington, D.C.
This fellowship gives students the rare opportunity to have complete responsibility for the execution of a full exhibit, helping to build students’ resumes/portfolios.
DETAILS:
- Duration of fellowship: Monday, August 1, 2016- Friday, October 21, 2016.
- Students are expected to work a minimum of 15 hours per week at the NIAF Headquarters and will be expected to meet deadlines provided by Foundation supervisors.
- Students will receive a $1,000 stipend to aid with travel and living expenses while in Washington.
- Fellows will be given free access to all NIAF Gala Weekend Events including theFriday night event and Saturday night 41st Anniversary Gala Dinner.
